Dr. Nathan Mwenda Mutwiri

Dr. Nathan Mwenda Mutwiri is the founding partner of Mwenda Mutwiri & Associates Advocates and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from Kenyatta University, an MSc in Finance, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Law and Commerce from the University of Nairobi. Dr. Mutwiri is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). With extensive experience spanning legal practice, auditing, and finance, Dr. Mutwiri has held key roles including Associate at Kiruki Kayika Advocates, Chief Accountant at Rogers Aviation Kenya, and Auditor at BDO East Africa. His areas of specialization include conveyancing, commercial transactions, and insurance law. A prolific academic and speaker, Dr. Mutwiri has published scholarly articles and contributed to book chapters on stock markets, corporate governance, financial law, and access to capital. He currently serves on the Law Society of Kenya’s Anti-Money Laundering Committee, enhancing legal compliance and ethical standards in the legal sector.
